Discover the Heartbeat of Jamaica

The cultural and entertainment capital, Kingston

There is no doubt that Jamaica’s rich cultural heritage has captured the minds and hearts of travelers across the world. The riveting sounds of the one drop reggae beat, world class athletics and our beautiful seascape are a few things that come to mind when one considers Jamaica. However, beyond these more popular ideas, there is so much more that this little island can offer.

To experience Jamaica, is to know the intimate spaces of our island; it is to taste the delicious land crab steamed with escallion, thyme, pimentos and pepper served with corn and coconut bits that have been sold along Heroes Circle for generations. It is to be delighted by the artistic reawakening of the once condemned Downtown, Kingston. It is to recognize the essence of the
people, their laughter and their cries.

The story of this island paradise begins in Kingston, the cultural and entertainment mecca of Jamaica. Our Kingston Experience is committed to offering a safe and immersive cultural experience that takes travelers into the very heartbeat of Jamaica. This three day tour takes you on a journey, approximately three to four hours away from the “touristy” and more popular resort towns where you can revel in the perfect blend of eco and community tourism, nightlife, history, art and of course, sand, sun and lots of sea.

Day 1 – Party like a real Yaadie

Have you ever considered what it would be like to party like a real jamaican? Hang out at some of the best local spots and vibe with our people like true “yaadies”? Kickstart your vacation with a night on the town or like Jamaicans would say, “do road”! But first… food. And not just any food, we are  taking you to get a belly full of authentic Jamaican delights such as perfectly seasoned jerked chicken and pork, roasted fish peppered to your liking or a rich and bubbling cup of red peas soup. After you are satiated, get ready to move and groove all night.

Day 2 – Escape into the cool canopies of the Blue Mountains

After a festive night and some much needed rest, your tour guide will take you to Craighton Estate nestled within the cool canopies of the Blue Mountain Peaks. Relax and enjoy the passing views as you are transported through the hilly terrain to approximately 2600 ft. above sea level.

You will be able to see first hand how Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee – some of the best coffee in the world, is grown and produced. Are you a coffee lover? Well you will know nothing tantalizes the senses more than a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Sip, breathe and relax as you enjoy the views overlooking Kingston, the lush vegetation and the soul replenishing hum of nature through cascading waterfalls and birds calling. Continue to unwind at one of the many scenic and quaint cafes nearby while you enjoy lunch out in the cool, crisp air.

Day 3 – Sun, sea and the sunken city. All aboard!

Day three will take you to Port Royal, infamous throughout history for its sinful
conduct, ruled mostly by piracy and illegal trading. This town, though very wealthy, was once labeled as “The most wicked place on Earth”. Over 300 years have passed since the disaster of
the 1692 earthquake and the half-sunken city is now a humble fishing village with remnants of what was once the largest city in the Caribbean. Your guide will take you to the Fort Charles Museum, where you can learn about this and more while sipping on some rum punch and enjoying the various heritage sites and the cays along the way.

Day 4 – The visual stories of Jamaica, an art lover’s paradise

After three full days of adventure, before heading back home or to some other part of this island you will be engaged in a light sightseeing tour throughout

Kingston. This includes Emancipation Park, famous for its statue of a naked, unshackled black man and woman memorializing the August 1, 1838 Emancipation Declaration. The park is
beautifully outfitted with flowers and trees of many kinds as well as expansive lawns forrelaxation and other such leisures. You  will also be taken to the National Stadium where you can see statues of our many athletic icons, including our very own sprint legend, Usain Bolt. After
this, we will be heading to an art lovers dream, Water Lane, to take in the beautiful hand painted murals along the walls of this pedestrian street.

Our island paradise has much to see and do beyond white sand beaches and all-inclusive resorts. Enjoy a fully guided tour that takes you into the heart of who we are as a people in our capital city, Kingston.
